For the season you’re in
Come back to one another —
through truth, grace,
and Christ.
Committed in Christ helps couples slow down, speak honestly, repair what has been wounded, and build a faithful future with practical tools, private conversation, and spiritually grounded guidance.
Love is patient and kind; it does not insist on its own way… it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4–7 (ESV)Our promise
A safe place for two people to return to truth, tenderness, commitment, and Christ.
Where are you today?
Every couple’s door is different. Start where you are.
Choose the doorway that fits your marriage right now. You don’t need to have the words for it — just the willingness to take one honest step.
We want to grow
Your marriage is healthy, and you want to keep it that way — and deepen it on purpose.
Strengthen what’s good →We feel disconnected
You do life side by side, but the closeness has thinned. You miss each other.
Find your way back →We keep fighting
The same arguments circle without getting anywhere. You’re both tired of it.
Learn another way →We are rebuilding trust
Something broke — a secret, a betrayal, a season of lies. You want to know if repair is possible.
Walk carefully forward →We are preparing for marriage
Engaged or seriously dating? Build your foundation before the vows, not after the crisis.
Prepare well →We need help now
If there is fear, violence, or danger — that comes before any retreat or program. Confidential help first.
Get confidential help →What happens at a retreat
Simple. Private. Practical. Kind.
Guided teaching
A short, clear session rooted in Scripture and relationship research. No lectures that run on; just what you can use.
Private conversation
You two talk through what you heard — alone, with prompts to guide you. This is where the real work happens.
A real-life practice
You try the skill — a listening structure, a repair, a time-out — in a low-pressure exercise you can repeat at home.
A take-home plan
You leave with a written 90-day plan and a covenant in your own words, so the weekend doesn’t fade by Tuesday.
The four pillars
One marriage, four kinds of strength
A lasting marriage isn’t held up by love alone. It grows across four connected areas — and every retreat, session, and resource here is built around them.
Spiritual
Covenant, grace, prayer, Scripture, worship, service, discernment, and shared meaning — faith as the source of humility and hope.
Above all, put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. — Colossians 3:14
Emotional
Attachment needs, vulnerability, empathy, grief, forgiveness, trust, and the steady emotional attunement that helps two people feel safe and seen.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. — Ephesians 4:32
Psychological
Communication, conflict cycles, regulation, boundaries, family systems, habits, and decision-making — the practical skills a marriage runs on.
Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. — James 1:19
One flesh
Body awareness, rest, affection, consent, sexual intimacy, health, and the daily practical partnership of a shared household.
A man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. — Genesis 2:24
The seven-session journey
The same path, walked week by week
Not every couple can get away for a weekend. Our course distills the full journey into seven weekly sessions — teaching, a private couple conversation, a practice, and a commitment. It can run at your church or in a living room.
Welcome and hope
Orientation, consent, safety, and the hope you’re carrying into this season.
Equal dignity and shared covenant
Image of God, mutual dignity, and decision-making without domination.
Connection and friendship
Attention, emotional bids, needs, affection, and daily rituals of connection.
Language and conflict tools
Our C.L.E.A.R. framework, a soft start-up, regulation, time-outs, and repair.
Trust, forgiveness, and renewal
Apology, repentance, grief, and the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation.
Intimacy, family, and daily partnership
Consent-based intimacy, money, work, technology, parenting, and family boundaries.
Life with Christ and the 90-day covenant
Prayer, service, shared mission, a support map, and a durable follow-up plan.
Committed in Christ is an educational and spiritual-formation ministry — not therapy, and not a substitute for professional or emergency care. If there is current violence, fear, or coercive control in your marriage, a retreat is not the right step, and we will help you find the right one. Your safety will never be treated as a “marriage problem” to push through.
Real couples, real change
Honest stories, shared with permission
“For years we had the same fight in different clothes. Learning a structure — and actually practicing a time-out without it feeling like abandonment — changed our Tuesdays.”
A couple, married 12 years [VERIFY consented story]
“Praying out loud together felt awkward for years. Starting with two minutes and a simple blessing made it normal — and now it’s our favorite part of the day.”
A blended family [VERIFY consented story]
“We didn’t need fireworks. We needed a plan, an honest conversation, and the reminder that covenant is a daily choice, not just a memory.”
A couple in a hard season [VERIFY consented story]
Stories are shared with written consent and anonymized. We don’t promise outcomes — we share what people actually did with the tools.
Take one honest step. Together.
You don’t have to have it figured out. You just have to start.
