Privacy

Your privacy is part of our promise.

We wrote this in plain language, because that’s what couples deserve. This notice explains what the Committed in Christ website collects, what it doesn’t, and the choices you always have.

What we collect

  • Registration & contact information — when you register interest or contact us: name, email, phone (optional), and the subject you’re asking about.
  • Event logistics — dietary or accessibility needs you choose to share for a retreat you attend.
  • Consent preferences — whether you’ve agreed to be contacted, and whether you’ve opted into photos or stories.

What we never ask for in ordinary forms

We will not collect disclosures about violence, abuse, untreated addiction, severe mental-health conditions, or medical information through ordinary contact or registration forms. Those situations deserve confidential, specialized channels — our crisis-help page points you to them. We’d rather route you to real care than leave sensitive details sitting in an inbox.

Privacy between partners

The most important privacy we protect is the one inside your marriage. The private conversation check-in runs entirely in your browser — nothing is saved or sent. One partner’s answers or disclosures are never shared with the other without explicit consent. What a couple talks about together is their own.

How we use what you share

  • To answer your question or register you for an event you asked about
  • To send retreat/course details you requested (and only what you requested)
  • Occasional ministry updates, only if you opt in separately — and you can unsubscribe anytime

What we don’t do

We don’t sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing. We don’t create a counseling relationship by receiving an email. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was provided.

Your choices

  • See what we have on you, or ask us to correct or delete it
  • Opt out of any contact at any time
  • Withdraw any consent you previously gave (photos, stories, contact)

To exercise any of these, contact us and we’ll respond within two business days.

This notice is provided for a ministry context and is not legal advice. Questions about privacy can be sent through our contact form.
